Annecy under the snow. The snow was invited last week in Annecy in the department of Haute-Savoie.
The cold is continuing in France and temperatures will remain permanently below normal for the season. Small snowfalls are again expected at the start of the week, mainly in the Massif Central. More significant snowfalls will however affect the Southern Alps, on the border with Italy.

Thursday, the arrival of a not very active disturbance could again cause small snowfalls to the plains in the northeastern regions. Temperatures should rise at the very end of the week to return to a seasonal level on Sunday.
Light snowfall
Anticyclonic conditions are essential for this beginning of the week on the country with many morning gloom. On the other hand, the presence of a small cold drop in the Mediterranean still causes light snowfall to the plains of the Massif Central. Light snowfall also concerns the Southern Alps this morning from 600 meters and the Corsican mountains. The sun is imposing this morning on the summits of the Vosges and the Jura and beautiful clearings are breaking through in Brittany.
What to do in the garden in the middle of winter?
This afternoon, the weather conditions will remain much the same with often gray skies and light snowfall on the Massif Central. The unstable and snowy weather will continue over the Southern Alps and northern Corsica. The sun will again prevail over a large part of Brittany. A more or less cloudy sky will concern Languedoc-Roussillon.
Temperatures remain cold and frosts widespread this morning. The minimums range from -9°C in Aurillac to 5°C in Nice. During the day, the maximum will remain 3 to 4 degrees below normal for the season. It will be 0°C in Langres, 1°C in Clermont-Ferrand, 2°C in Besançon, 3°C in Lille, 4°C in Bordeaux, 5°C in Caen, 6°C in Nîmes, 7°C in Brest, 8°C in Marseille, 9°C in Montpellier, 11°C in Marseille and 12°C in Ajaccio.
New snowfall Thursday in the plain?
On Tuesday, the gray will once again prevail in most regions. Brittany should once again retain some rays of sunshine. Beautiful clearings should also prevail between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean rim. Once again, snowfall will affect the Southern Alps and the weather will remain turbulent on the eastern side of Corsica. On Wednesday, the weather conditions will remain the same with often gray skies, cold weather and light snowfall over the Southern Alps.
Small snowfalls are possible again on Thursday in northeastern France.
Thursday, a disturbance should try its luck by the north of the country. In contact with the cold air present over the country, it could bring light snowfall between the Center and the Northeast. Given the still distant deadline, this snowy trend is yet to be confirmed over the next few hours. Further south, the weather will be dry and the sun will prevail from the Alps to the Mediterranean. Friday, the disturbance arrived the day before should be evacuated by the Pyrenees. Some fine clearings should return to the edge of the Channel for this day.
Rising temperatures for the next weekend?
Thanks to a shift in the flow to the northwest sector, temperatures could rise slightly next weekend to bring it closer to seasonal norms. On the sky side, the clouds should still prevail over most regions.
Why should we clean plant leaves at home?
On the other hand, fine clearings should end up imposing themselves on Sunday towards the Pyrenees or the Alps where the snow cover is now excellent! The sun should also impose itself largely next weekend around the Mediterranean and in Corsica.
